TV WiFi Recovery

If your gym’s TV loses its WiFi connection, Womoji will automatically detect the problem and show a recovery screen after about 2-3 minutes of failed connections.

What you’ll see

A full-screen “WiFi Connection Lost” overlay will appear on the TV with instructions to fix the connection.

How to fix it

  1. Enter the pairing code — You’ll be asked to enter the last 4 characters of your TV’s pairing code. This is the same code used when the TV was first set up. If your TV isn’t managed by MDM, this step is skipped.

  2. Tap “Open WiFi Settings” — This temporarily exits kiosk mode so you can access tvOS Settings.

  3. Update WiFi — Press the TV button on the Siri Remote to go to the Home Screen, then navigate to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi and select the correct network.

  4. Return to Womoji — Once WiFi is reconnected, Womoji will automatically detect the connection, re-lock kiosk mode, and resume the dashboard. Just open the Womoji app if it isn’t already visible.

Automatic recovery

If the WiFi comes back on its own (for example, after a router reboot), the recovery screen will dismiss automatically — no action needed.

Timeout

If kiosk mode has been unlocked for 5 minutes without WiFi being restored, the TV will automatically re-lock and show the recovery screen again. You can retry as many times as needed.

For admins

If your staff need to recover a TV’s WiFi, they’ll be asked for the last 4 characters of the pairing code. Here’s where to find it:

Consider sharing this code with front desk staff or posting it near the TV so they can handle WiFi issues without needing to contact an admin.

Need more help?

If the TV can’t connect to any WiFi network, you may need to connect it to the internet temporarily using an Ethernet cable, or contact your network administrator to verify the WiFi credentials.
